Meet Director of TRICEP, Prof Gordon Wallace.
What is your role within TRICEP?
I am the director of both TRICEP and ANFF Materials as well as the ARC Centre of Excellence for Electromaterials Science (ACES).
What is your area of expertise and what kind of experience do you have in this area?
With respect to TRICEP and the ANFF Materials node, I bring technical expertise in advanced materials and fabrication and how this can be used to facilitate translation in the areas of energy and health. I have extensive experience in working with the commercial sector to get new technologies into existing industry to help pivot into new opportunities and in the creation of new entities.
What are some of the projects and collaborations you are currently working on?
In TRICEP, key translational projects include work with iFix Medical, Axcelda and Inventia Life Science as well as a customised printing system for research and training, 3D REDI.
What is the future outlook of these projects?
Our goal is now to create new commercial opportunities from every project we are engaged in.
